The airline industry is characterised by tight competitive market, high cost, heavy traffic and strong regulations. In this context, airline companies have to efficiently manage their resources solving problems such as airline scheduling problem. Ryanair is actually operating more than 21000 flights per week using more than 500 aircrafts. It is translated into the movement of 185 million passengers through Ryanair network, composed of over 2300 routes between 225 airports in 36 countries. In this work we aim to present a linear integer modelisation to solve the problem using an exact approach. Also, due to the complexity of the problem and the difficulty even with commercial solvers to obtain a feasible solution, a decomposition method based on previous formulation will also be presented.
